Acceptable Use Policy

What you may not do with Reckon, and what happens if you do it. Part of the Terms of Service.

Effective 6 September 2026

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everyone in your workspace, including people you invite and anyone acting on your behalf.

1. Do not

Connect accounts you have no right to connect
Only connect an ad account you own or are authorised to access. Do not use Reckon to look at a competitor's account, a former client's account, or an account whose authority you have lost.
Endanger our platform access
Do not use Reckon in a way that breaches Meta's Platform Terms or Developer Policies, or the Google Ads API Terms and Conditions. A breach by one workspace can cost every workspace its access, which is why this is grounds for immediate suspension.
Resell or relabel the service
Do not resell, sublicense, rent, or provide Reckon to a third party as your own product, and do not use it to build or train a competing product or model.
Take the product apart
Do not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the service, probe or benchmark it for a competitor, or scrape, spider or bulk-extract its interfaces or output outside the features we provide.
Attack or overload it
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, workspace or system; do not circumvent authentication, tenancy scoping or rate limits; do not upload malware; do not run load or penetration tests without our written consent.
Misuse other people's data
Do not use Reckon to profile, identify, contact, harass or surveil the people whose comments or engagement appear in it, or to build audiences or enrich records about them.
Break the law
Do not use Reckon for anything unlawful, infringing, defamatory, discriminatory, or in breach of sanctions or export controls.
Present output as more than it is
Do not present Reckon's recommendations to a client or an investor as guaranteed outcomes, verified facts, or the output of a Meta or Google product.

2. Security research

Good-faith research is welcome and is not a breach of this policy, provided you stay inside your own workspace, do not access anyone else's data, do not degrade the service, and report what you find to [email protected] before disclosing it. See the Security page.

3. What we do about breaches

  • Usually we contact you, explain the problem, and give you a chance to fix it.
  • Where the risk is immediate (a live security threat, unlawful use, or conduct that endangers our platform access), we suspend first and explain afterwards.
  • Repeated or serious breaches end the agreement under section 13 of the Terms.
  • We report to law enforcement or a platform where the law requires it, or where someone is at risk of serious harm.

To report misuse of Reckon by someone else, write to [email protected] with enough detail for us to investigate.
