Cookie Policy
Every cookie and similar technology Reckon sets, what it does, and how to refuse the optional ones.

This page covers cookies, local storage and session recording on usereckon.ai and in the Reckon app. It sits under the Privacy Policy.
Reckon runs no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, and no third-party ad network tags. What we do run is below, in full.
1. Strictly necessary
These make signing in and staying signed in work. They cannot be switched off, and refusing them means the app cannot function.

2. Product analytics
In production we run PostHog to see which features are used, where flows break, and what errors people hit. It loads on every page, the marketing site included, so a signed-out visitor is counted too.

PostHog captures page views, clicks and other interactions automatically, records uncaught errors, and records replays of app sessions, which can include the figures and text on screen at the time. Reckon is a data product, and a broken table has to be seen to be understood.
PostHog processes this on our behalf as a sub-processor, under terms that let it act only on our instructions. Inside our team it is used to debug and improve the product, never to monitor an individual's productivity. It is never sold, and never passed to anyone beyond the vendors on the sub-processor list. Section 4 is how you opt out.
3. What we do not do
- No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no conversion pixels from ad networks.
- No selling or sharing of cookie data, in the CCPA/CPRA sense.
- No tracking that follows you off this site, and no data sold or shared for anyone else's advertising.
4. Your choices
- Browser controls. Every major browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will sign you out.
- Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control. We honour a GPC signal by not initialising analytics.
- Ask us. Email [email protected] to be excluded, and we will opt your account out of analytics and delete what we hold about your sessions.
- Analytics are off for staff browsing a workspace in support mode, so support access is never recorded against your users.
5. Changes
When we add or remove a cookie or a tracking technology, we update this page and its effective date. If we add anything that requires your consent, we will ask for it before it runs.
